Family Guy Episode 2: Excellence in Broadcasting

When Brian learns that Rush Limbaugh is going to be at the Quahog Mall for a book-signing, he decides to go down there and give him a piece of his left-wing mind. Lois discovers that conservative radio talk show host Rush Limbaugh is holding a book signing in Quahog, Rhode Island, causing Brian to decide to confront Limbaugh about his political beliefs. That the signing, Brian is dumbfounded after Limbaugh asks whether or not he has read anything he had ever written, causing Brian to leave in frustration. That night, as Brian is walking home, he is suddenly attacked by a street gang, and is immediately saved by Rush Limbaugh, who single-handedly defeats the gang members. Thankfully, Brian agrees to read Limbaugh's book, and soon begins to believe that "conservative Republicanism" was right all along. The next morning, Lois questions Brian's conviction, citing his past liberalism, with Brian defends his right to change his mind. Deciding to talk with Limbaugh about the book, Brian thanks Limbaugh, and the two then travel to the Republican National Headquarters, and are soon greeted by former President of the United States George W. Bush, and United States Senator John McCain.

Returning home, Brian informs Lois that Limbaugh will be coming over for dinner. That night, Lois and Peter began arguing and challenging Limbaugh politically. Deciding to confront Limbaugh for brainwashing Brian, Lois demands for their dog to go back to the way he used to be. Angered, Brian decides to move out and become roommates with Rush. Asking whether Brian is intending to stay at his home for just a few days, Brian begins to irritate Limbaugh with his newfound conservatism. Deciding to follow Limbaugh to his radio show, Brian attempts to voice his own political opinions about Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi, causing Rush to become frustrated and throw him out. Deciding to prove him wrong, Brian attempts to waterboard Pelosi, before being apprehended and arrested. Being bailed out by Limbaugh later that day, Brian continues to assert his conservatism, while Limbaugh attempts to convince Brian is only fighting against the establishment due to his desire to be the underdog. Reassuring Brian of his liberal convictions, Rush leaves the prison. Outside, they heckle each other with reassurance, and the episode ends with Limbaugh then transforms into a bald eagle, and flying away into the skyline.

Family Guy – Volume 9 DVD set Disc 1, Episode 11, 12, and 13

Episode 11 - Dial Meg for Murder
Some of the most hilarious scenes in this episode are those of Peter’s stint in a rodeo. Equally acerbically uproarious are the scenes where Meg hid her prison escapee boyfriend in the Griffin’s home which Brian found out and rat on her to the family. The guy was caught and Meg too went to prison as an accessory to the crime. Brian learned about Meg’s secret when he trailed after her to write about Meg’s life as an average American teenager for Teen People.  Meg, unhappy with the way the family treated her over the years and believing that no one loves her, decided to run away. To get money to finance her plan, she decided to rob Goldman’s pharmacy first. When Brian learned about it, he showed her the article he wrote to convince her that he cared. This persuaded Meg to abandon her plans abs convinced her to go back to the arms of her family.

Episode 12 – Extra Large Medium
Stewie and Chris were lost when the Griffin family went hiking in the woods. In an attempt to find them, Lois consulted a psychic and became obsessed by it.  In the meantime, Bruce found Stewie and Chris and returned them to the Griffin home. Brian, who didn’t believe in psychic powers, tried to convince Lois that psychic powers didn’t exist. He showed her Peter doing a cold reading on a person walking by in the park. But Peter too believed that he had ESP and even opened a psychic reading shop complete with a live demonstration. His posturing was eventually unmasked when he failed to help Joe Swanson locate a missing guy with a bomb strapped to him. The bomb exploded and the guy died and Peter had to own up to not having any psychic power at all.
In the meantime, while Stewie and Chris were lost in the woods, Chris agreed to ask out a classmate with down syndrome named Ellen. Stewie was very supportive, dressed him up and gave him advice on what to do on a date. The relationship did not prosper. Ellen became very aggressive and difficult, but Stewie considered it a success because Chris had the guts to invite her out.

Episode 13 – Go, Stewie, Go!

Stewie cross-dressed and became “Karina Smimoff” to audition for a little girl part in “Jollie Farm Revue”, his favorite children’s TV program.  His alter ego became a hit but everything went haywire when he fell for Julie, his co-star on the show who was involved with Randall, another co-star. Some of the craziest scenes in this episode were Julie’s visit to the Griffin home when Stewie was not disguised as Karina and the sleepover at Julie’s place where they slept together, cuddled and Stewie even got to kiss Julie while the girl was asleep. Stewie became so confused with his relationship with Julie that he tried kissing her while disguised as Karina. Stewie eventually revealed his true identity in a live show and lost Julie who got back with Randall.
In the meantime, Lois felt bad about a white hair that Peter teased her about. She tried to entice Anthony, Meg’s new boyfriend, after seeing the couple making out on the living room. Her efforts were thwarted when they were interrupted by Meg who became so angry. She accused Lois of feeling superior to Meg and proved that she’s tougher than Los by pulling out a tooth. This scared Lois who in turn confronted Pete of making her lose her self confidence. Peter admitted that he’s the one who was becoming insecure about aging. They reconciled and made out in the living room couch.

Cartoon Family Guy Characters

The winning ways of cartoon characters endear them to children as well as to adults. Their antics, bad lucks and good lucks make us laugh and sometimes cry. It’s very easy to relate to them and with their adventures. Examples of these cartoon characters are the cartoon Family Guy characters-Peter, Lois, Stevie, Meg, Chris and Brian (the family dog). They are the Griffin family.

The animated sitcom Family Guy is the brainchild of Seth MacFarlane and created for Fox Broadcasting Company.  The situational comedy centers around the Griffins family and their anthropomorphic pet, and set in Quahog, Rhode Island.  The series presents many of its buffoonery and comic situations in cutaway gaps that frequently satirize American culture.
Family Guy characters

Peter Griffin: Peter is the principal character of Family Guy. He speaks in a grating New England accent and carries on as though he’s the smartest guy in town. The truth is, he is absolutely naïve and mixed-up. He loves the bottle and can be found very often at the Drunken Clam with buddies Cleveland, Quagmire and Joe. His most notable achievement is a running fight with an oversized, yellow chicken.

Lois Griffin: Pretty Lois is the wife of Peter. She came from a moneyed clan, the Pewterschmidts, who were against her marrying Peter. She was once a model, an accomplished pianist and Quagmire, Peter’s best friend, lust after her. She may be more urbane than her husband, but she shares Peter’s crude humor and lustful appetite.

Stewie Griffin: Stewie is the wicked and diabolical baby of Family Guys who repeatedly plots to destroy his mother, Lois. Although he’s portrayed as highly intelligent, he’s curiously very fond of Rupert, his teddy bear. With seemingly innocent comments he inadvertently admits to being a homosexual.

Brian Griffin: Brian is the Griffin’s dog and seems to be the most intelligent and levelheaded of all the Family Guy characters, although he still pees on the carpet in front of Lois. He lusts secretly for Lois but has a girlfriend of his own, Jillian. Brian and Stewie frequently lock horns with each other or bond together in extreme situations. They are often shown singing duets.

Meg Griffin: Meg is Peter’s and Lois’ daughter and is usually the laughingstock of the Family Guy. She is not pretty and is portrayed as a down-and-outer. Peter got to know Meg better when his driver’s license was cancelled and Meg became his driver. Her one “shining moment” was in an episode where she had a make-over, became a sex symbol and lost her virginity on live TV.

Chris Griffin: Chris is the eldest child of Peter and Lois. He’s not a very bright lad but he’s a talented rock star and artist. He idolizes Peter and blindly follows him in many cataclysmic situations. One of Chris’ oddities is his fear of a mad monkey in his closet.
