Family Guy Episode 9 – Business Guy

Peter had a chance to run Pewtershmidt Industries, Lois’ family business, when Carter had a heart attack during his hilariously bawdy “bachelor party” given by Peter. But Peter went totally haywire - firing all the members of the board, replacing them with his friends Brian, Quagmire and Mort, and producing new weird products such as the Lady Scream In a Box, Jeremy Iron Cereals, and The African-American Heart Monitor.
This episode of Family Guy  became crazier when Carter recovered and attempted to wrest control of the company back from Peter who adamantly refused. Lois talked his father to working for Peter, in the meantime, who found this as an opportunity to get back at Carter for the way he treated him in the past. Carter’s and Lois’ ultimate crazy plan to convince Peter to let go of the company was to make up a story about a swamp monster.  This was swallowed hook, line, and sinker by Peter only for Carter and Lois running into a “real” swamp monster who turned out to be Dr. House.

Episode 10 – Big Man on Hippocampus

Peter had amnesia when Richard Dawson, the host of Family Feud, knocked him out when he went berserk after losing in the game show. To jog his memory, Lois showed him the pleasure of sex.  But Peter enjoyed it, not with Lois but with other women. In disgust, Lois and the kids left him and when Quagmire learned about it, made a move on Lois. In the meantime, Peter recovered from his amnesia after running into Ernie, the Giant Chicken. Lois and Quagmire went on a dinner date, and while they were on a clinch, Lois whispered sweet nothings on Quagmire’s ears causing him to be disoriented and giving Peter a chance to win back Lois.

Wacky Episodes in Family Guy Volume 10 - Disc 3

Episode 14 – Tiegs for Two
This episode in Family Guy starts with Pete losing his favorite white shirt at the local dry cleaner, his search for it in the dry cleaner’s home and his fight with the dry cleaner that landed him in jail. While waiting to bail Peter out, Brian meets Denise who refused him a date. Wanting to be a success with the ladies, Brian enlisted the help of Quagmire. Using Quagmire’s technique, Brian managed to pickup Cheryl Tiegs, Quagmire’s lost love. The skirmishes become nastier with insults flying back and forth when Quagmire appeared with Jillian.
In the end, they seemingly reached an agreement and Brian, thinking that all is fine with Quagmire, asked his “friend” for a ride home. Quagmire agreed only to hit Brian with the car and sent him flying.
Episode 15 – Brothers and Sisters
This episode in Family Guy is about the almost doomed love story of Carol, Lois’ sister, and Mayor Adam West, her soon-to-be 10th husband. The courtship began quite well. Carol stayed with the Griffins to mend a broken heart after her 9th husband left her, met Mayor Adams and  hit it off with him immediately. Peter too was happy with the match but not Lois who tried to prevent it by inviting 3 of Carol’s former husbands to dinner. Carol finally succumbed and rejected Mayor Adam’s marriage proposal. This triggered the Mayor’s decision to settle in Alaska and become an Eskimo. The scenes where Peter, Lois and Carol rushed to the airport to stop the Mayor are truly hilarious. Everything ended well with Mayor Adams being flown back by Quagmire and Carol and the Mayor getting married.
Episode 16 – The Big Bang Theory
One of Family Guy best  riot of scenes centered on Stewie’s time machine, Stewie’s and Brian’s trading of insults and their travel back in time and Stewie’s plan to launch to the future to ignite the Big Bang.  Bertram ( Stewie’s half-brother) used the time machine intending to kill Leonardo da Vinci which they found to be Srewie’s ancestor, to prevent Stewie from being born. The fight to save da Vinci is a riot, ending up with Bertram getting killed. But this episode does not end with the death of Bertram. It continued in a more confusing story and more riotous scenes of how Stewie injected his DNA on da Vinci’s girlfriend to become his own ancestor, Brian travelling to the future to check if the plan worked and Stewie freezing himself cryogenically.

Wacky Episodes in Family Guy Volume 10 - Disc 2

Disc 2
Episode 9 – And I’m Joyce Kinney
This is a funny episode in Family Guy where Lois’ porno film exploit in college was featured in the news story of local news anchor Joyce Kinney. It turned out that this was Joyce’s revenge to a high school prank Lois’ played on her. Although the Griffin family understood, their church congregation was not very forgiving. In atonement, Lois showed the porno film in church and so she got their forgiveness and approval.
Episode 10 – Friends of Peter G
Can you imagine Family Guy’s Brian and Peter joining Alcoholic Anonymous? They did, as a punishment for another drunken ruckus at the cinema. But instead of becoming reformed, they persuaded the other attendees to drink and even fooled Joe Swanson, who responded to the fracas at the community center, by disguising the center to look like a church.
Peter is dead! A drunken Peter crashed his car and died, but the devil gave him a second chance only after he decided to cut back on his drinking.
Episode 11 – German Guy
This is a hilarious episode about Chris’ new friend Franz, who turned out to be a former Nazi general, as discovered by Hebert.  The scenes of Franz shutting Peter and Chris in the basement of the Griffin’s house and their attempt to escape, in between insulting Meg, are simply uproarious. The slow motion fight between Herbert and Franz, that ended up with Franz falling down the steps and dying is equally side-splitting.
Episode 12 – The Hand that Rocks the Wheelchair
This episode has two sub-adventures; Meg becoming enamored with Joe and Stewie creating an evil Stewie clone.
Meg’s attraction to Joe led her to do crazy things like planting a gun in Bonnie’s luggage that got Bonnie arrested at the airport. She also ended up breastfeeding Suzie and throwing herself in front of Joe’s squad car so that she too will become handicapped and have something in common with Joe. This sub-episode finally ended with Joe setting Meg straight and Meg apologizing to Bonnie.
The Stewie sub-episode is more sinister. He created a more evil Stewie clone that killed people and ended up in a fight with the real Srewie. In trying to save the real Stewie, Brian shot at one of the two Stewies but the ominous ending was not very clear if he gunned down the clone or the authentic Stewie.
Episode 13 – Trading Places
Adults took on kids’ roles and kids’ assumed the responsibility of the adults, all because of a wreck bike.  The switching of roles is riotously funny! Both parties took to the role like fish in a pond that when they finally decided to go back to the way it used to be, there were complications. Peter was fired from work while Chris couldn’t leave the job that was formerly Peter’s because he became the sole bread winner. After Chris suffered a heart attack from having too much adult responsibility and Peter got his old job back, everybody agreed that life is no joke and having a “strong” family helps.

Episode 6 – Brian Writes a Best Seller
This is the side-splitting rise and fall of Brian as an author and his hiring and firing of Stewie as his publicist. Brian got a big let-down from Mahler in the “On Real Time with Bill Mahler” when he was told by Mahler that his book is crap after he abused Mahler’s panelists.
Episode 7 – Road to the North Pole
The expedition of Brian and Stewie to the North Pole in a mission to kill Santa after he ignored Stewie at the mall ended up in their delivering Santa’s gifts. This turned out to be one misadventure to another.  They found Santa and his elves sick from the toxins spewed by a factory complex. Then, Brian and Stewie broke-in  and entered  a home and physically abused the owners only to find out that it was the wrong house. But everything is well that ends well. Everyone got their Christmas gift and the following year, Santa is back in good form.

Disc 2

Season  8: Episode 14 – Peter-assment

Peter accidentally became a paparazzo when he recorded Richard Dreyfuss instead of Stewie’s first musical and got paid for it. He recorded other stars such as Adam West and Tom Tucker, but when he attempted to record weatherman and sports correspondent Ollie Williams, the guy broke Peter’s glasses and camera lens. Peter resorted to wearing contact lenses and this attracted Angela, Peter’s boss who subjected Peter to sexual harassment.  Peter and Quagmire tried to trick Angela by Quagmire substituting for Peter, but even Quagmire couldn’t stomach having sex with Angela.  Peter’s refusal to have sex with Angela cost him his job.
Peter was motivated to be a real man of the 50’s by a Robert Mitchum movie and planned to take his revenge by going to Angela’s home to beat her up only to find Angela on the verge of suicide. Peter was moved when Angela admitted that in the last 10 years no guy was attracted to her. Peter arranged a date between Angela and his “friend” which was actually Peter in disguise.  They had sex and Peter got his job back.

Season 8: Episode 15 – Brian Griffin’s House of Payne
This episode has 2 sub-plots and a Computer-generated imagery sequence not unlike a Star Wars sequence, all a product of Stewie’s imagination.  The 1st sub-plot is Brian’s venture as a television writer.  Stewie accidentally found an old script of Brian that CBS agreed to produce. Unfortunately, the producers of CBS and James Wood, who stars in the show, changed the production into a comedy sitcom complete with a chimpanzee and a live audience.  The changes did not make Brian and the Griffin family happy and it all ended up with Brian quitting.
The 2nd sub-plot was about Stewie being knocked down by Chris and Meg and the attempt of the two accomplishes together with Peter to hide Stewies’ condition from Lois.

Season 8: Episode 16 – April in Quahog
Quahog was in chaos after the people learned about a black hole that will destroy the earth in 24 hours. Everybody tried to live out their wildest dreams; Quagmire had sex with Bonnie, Herbert tried to have sex with Chris and Peter stole a zoo lion and admitted to hate his children.  But it turned out to be a hoax, an April fool’s practical joke. Learning about their father’s hatred of them, Stewie and Chris shun their father and Peter’s attempts to win them back were pathetically droll until he finally bought their affection with an Xbox 360.
Comically aggravating were Peter’s attempts to get out of jury duty at the start of the episode.

Season 8: Episode 17 – Brian & Stewie
This episode is rather gross and revolting.  The plot revolved around Brian and Stewie getting locked up in a bank vault. Scenes of Brian eating Stewie’s poop and vomit and licking Stewie’s butt are not for the faint of heart. All the scenes inside the vault during the three days of their being locked up were crazily maddening including their drunken stupor, Brian pulling a gun on Stewie and Brian’s admission that he wanted to commit suicide because his life has no meaning. This led Stewie to confess that Brian is his only friend and this gave purpose to Brian’s life.  The vault’s door finally opened on the third day and Brian and Stewie walked out of the vault as best of friends.

Season 8: Episode 18 – Quagmire’s Dad
This is the story of Quagmire’s father, a woman trapped in a man’s body. When Quagmire’s father, Dan, came to visit, the truth of Dan’s sexuality came to light. Dan had an operation and was transformed into an attractive blonde who called herself Ida. Brian, who attended a seminar in New Haven was ignorant of the incidents with Dan or Ida. When he came back to Quahog,  he and Ida met and fell for each other that ended in them having sex in Ida’s hotel room. When Brian showed his family the picture of his new girl, Peter and Lois fell of their chair laughing. When Brian learned about Ida’s true identity,  he threw up. Meanwhile, Ida went back to Quagmire’s home and told him about his/her new boy friend. When Quagmire learned that it was Brian, he rushed to the Griffin home and beat the life out of Brian. Brian had the last word when he shouted at Quagmire that he “fucked” his father.

Season 8: Episode 19 – The Splendid Source
The episode started with Chris advising his parents of his suspension from school for telling a dirty joke told by him by Quagmire. Peter found the joke so funny that every time he heard it he soiled his pants. The episode went from scene to scene in the friends’ search for the real source of the joke, which turned out to come from a bar tender in Virginia. So instead of a vacation in Maine as planned, Peter, Lois, Quagmire and Bonnie ended up in a local bar in Stoolbend, Virginia only to find out that the joke was told to the bartender by Cleveland.  The search for the true source of the joke brought them to some madcap adventures on the streets of Washington, DC, kidnapped by men in black and brought to a castle in an island where all dirty jokes originate.  They were shown around the castle and were forbidden to leave the island. They were able to escape by the diversion created by the death of the man who wrote the dirtiest joke. The joke written in a piece of paper fell in the hands of Peter. As they escaped, the castle burst into flame from a fire created by Peter. After all the outlandish adventure to get the dirtiest joke, it turned out to be a joke on them since the dirtiest joke was “ Guess what? Chicken butt”.
